Frequently Asked Questions:
-
Why are you private? To ensure our guests and members get to enjoy all Lush amenities - restaurant, pools, chaise lounges, dock and parking - and that our staff can provide the best service and overall experience to our guests and members. Our restaurant only seats 60 inside while we sleep 100!
-
Why don't you have Sunday check-in? Because we give our hard-working housekeepers Sundays off and let our guests enjoy a late check-out!
-
Do you allow pets? We do not allow pets in any hotel rooms, suites or bungalows. Leashed, friendly pets are welcome on our bar & grill outside patio; however, no pets are allowed in our pool/beach areas.
-
Why don't you allow pets given the resort is named after your dog Lush? Because we are in the country and cannot afford to shut down the entire hotel for 6-8 weeks for a flea infestation. It happens even to pets on flea medication. Plus G is highly allergic to pets.
-
What about service pets? We appreciate advanced notice that you will be bringing your registered service animal and a copy of your registration. We ask that you book a room on the first floor for ease of pet access and because there is no carpet on any of our first floor rooms, which protects you should your pet have an accident. Per ADA requirements, we do not allow emotional support animals (ESA).
-
Can a minor drink with their parent? No, TABC allows each bar to decide whether or not they allow minors to drink with their parents. TABC rules require kids to be within eyesight at ALL times. Given the layout of our resort, it is impossible for us to properly monitor, putting us at risk to lose our liquor license. Plus, the lake can be very dangerous and we do not want to put your precious kids at risk.
-
Why do I have to have my Driver's License to drink at Lush? Because it is the Law! We appreciate your patronage and want to keep our license so we can continue to serve you!
-
Can I reserve a boat slip? No, we are not allowed to charge for boat slips and can only offer courtesy slips.
-
Can I leave my boat on the dock overnight? We highly discourage it, but do not police it. Dock at your own risk, we are on open water and have had lines snap and boats flood overnight.
-
Why can't I slide down the hill? Because our insurance says no and told us we have to stop you everytime so please stay off the hill...it will give you turf burn anyway!
